14h30-16h30 : Guided tour of Montpellier
Relive the prodigious rise and exceptional destiny that Montpellier has forged for itself over the centuries. A journey of a thousand years along the alleys of the historic centre to let you experience the very special atmosphere of the Ecusson.

Tuesday 19th October
1.30 pm - 4.30 pm: Free visit of the Jardin des Plantes of Montpellier
You can stroll in the shade of the bamboo grove or along the shady paths of the English garden, admire the Martins greenhouse and its "succulent" plants or dream on the banks of the lotus pond in the footsteps of André Gide or Paul Valéry. Founded in 1593 by Henri IV, the oldest botanical garden in France extends over nearly 5 hectares in the heart of Montpellier. Attached to the Faculty of Medicine, this space once entirely dedicated to research and teaching continues to attract researchers from around the world. The Jardin des Plantes de Montpellier is listed as a site (12 February 1982) and has been protected as a Historic Monument since 3 September 1992.

Wednesday 20th October
6.00 pm - 7.20 pm: Ashtanga Yoga class with Saadia
Ashtanga Yoga is characterised by the sequence of postures (Asana) punctuated by Ujjayi breathing, chest breathing associated with different points of concentration. The postures follow each other quite quickly. This yoga is at first a very complete physical practice, becoming progressively a way of interiority when the practitioner acquires experience.
Price: 10€/class or 72€ for a card of 6 classes

13h30-18h30: Excursion to Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer
Half day excursion. Discover the Camargue and its specific animals: pink flamingos, bulls, horses. The ponds mix with the land or the other way round, man cultivates rice, salt and vines. A town by the sea symbolises this region: Les Saintes Maries de la mer and its fortified Romanesque church, a place of Christian pilgrimage on the road to St Jacques. Pilgrims come here to venerate the relics of the St Maries (Mary Jacoba: aunt of Jesus and Mary Salome: mother of the apostles James and John). The gypsy community gathers here every year to celebrate the relics of their patron saint, Saint Sara. This village is considered one of the oldest Christian cults in the West. Free time in the city and beach. Swimming possible, take a swimming costume.

Saturday 23rd October
9.00-18.30 : Excursion to Uzès and Avignon
First we will visit Uzès, first of all the St Etienne cathedral and its Romanesque tower in Italian style. Then we will discover the historic centre and its Place aux Herbes. Finally we will pass in front of the duke's castle and the house of the famous writer Racine, free time to eat in the city (very nice market on Saturday morning). In the afternoon we will visit Avignon, passing the famous 12th century St Benezet bridge, which is the origin of a famous traditional song. Then we will pass the ramparts to enter the historic centre to discover its medieval streets and the Romanesque cathedral of Notre Dame des Doms. Free time in the city.

Meet 10 minutes before departure at 25 rue du Grand Saint Jean
Sunday 24th October
9.00am - 6.30pm: Excursion to La Couvertoirade, the Cirque de Navacelles and the Viaduct of Millau
The morning will start with a panoramic view of the Cirque de Navacelles, a huge 400-metre deep canyon carved out by the river Vis. Then we will continue with a visit to the village of La Couvertoirade. A small fortified village built by the Templars, it will give you the impression of going back in time to the time of the knights. We will discover one of the largest viaducts in the world, designed by the English architect Norman Foster: the Millau Viaduct: 300m high and almost 3km long. The end of the day will take us to the village of Roquefort, to meet its famous blue cheese, we will visit the cellars, a real labyrinth where the cheeses are matured. Tasting of three different Roquefort cheeses (vaccination pass required for the visit)
